OAA welcomes back Joel Ninos to the Physical Therapy and Hand Rehab Team. Born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh, he was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in Physical Therapy. Experiencing an injury in high school is what brought Joel into the field of physical therapy. Now as a practicing Physical Therapist, Joel has spent all of his time working extensively in the rehabilitation of orthopedic and sports related injuries.
Throughout his career, Joel has previously spent many years working as a Physical Therapist with the OAA surgeons and physicians. His extensive experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation has given him the opportunity to work with patients ranging from elementary age individuals through high level professional athletes. Direct communication with the patient, parent, athletic trainer and physician, allows for the highest level of patient care and rehabilitation outcomes. Joel believes in giving his best efforts and knowledge to his patients, while also getting patients to understand the need for their own involvement in the rehabilitation process.
In his free time Joel enjoys exercising, fishing, shooting trap, working around the house, and spending time with his family. He has four children that have been involved in many different sports both at the high school and college levels. This has allowed him to become very knowledgeable in the intricacies of many sports and allows him to be very specific to the rehabilitation needs of his athletes and patients.
