Jennifer Capobianco, originally from North Jersey rejoins the OAA Therapy team as an industry-leading Certified Hand Therapist. Jennifer became interested in therapy during her first job in high school. She worked in a physical therapy clinic and went on to be introduced to Occupational/Hand Therapy in college. A professor invited her to the clinic and from that point on Hand Therapy was exactly what she wanted to pursue. Jennifer’s main focus in the clinic includes upper extremity injuries/fractures to the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow; hand/finger amputations, tendonitis, and carpal/cubital tunnel syndromes. She also works with parents on educating them on body mechanics, joint protection, ergonomics and adaptive equipment. Jennifer is excited to be back with OAA because she believes that the OAA team truly understands the importance of the Physician/Therapist relationship and how that correlates to achieving the best results for the patients. She truly enjoys working with each patient in the clinic and understanding how everyday life might have changed, whether short term or permanently, but helping those patients get back to doing what they need and like to do. In her free time Jennifer enjoys being outside with family, walking the dog, or reading a book on the beach.
