Originally from Lancaster, PA, Patti attended Lock Haven University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science / Athletic Training. While at Lock Haven, Patti was a 2-time All-American High Jumper, as well as a competitive gymnast.
In 1993, she became an OAA athletic trainer at Northwestern Lehigh High School. "I got to see a lot of unique injuries and health issues among the students," says Patti. "It became very apparent that the more you learn, you realize how much you don't know. I always wanted to be someone who could help and do more for others, so I went back to school to become a Physician Assistant." Patti then received her second Bachelor Degree in Health Science from Hahnemann University, and her Master’s Degree as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant from the University of Nebraska. Patti has also shared a growing interest in functional medicine, which relates to healthy whole foods and their effects towards preventing future health concerns.
As an employee of OAA since 1993 "I've seen a LOT of changes!" says Patti "I've worked in three buildings and have watched the company grow and grow." When not working with Dr. Gregor Hawk in the OAA's Sports Medicine Institute, Patti enjoys creating digital photo albums, photography, yoga and kayaking.
